Q. What is taught?

A. The fundamental skills of public speaking are taught and demonstrated, as well as the secrets used by successful professional speakers. In addition, you will learn the psychology of the skills you learn; that is, the reasons why these skills are necessary and what makes them effective.

Q. Are the Teachers professional speakers or are they teaching from theory they have learned? 

A. David earns his income through speaking and presenting professionally around the world at conferences, in boardrooms, on TV and one-on-one situations. He teaches from the experience of applying this information.

A. With over 30 years’ experience educating, motivating and teaching, David has trained people of all ages and backgrounds in numerous fields of academia; as well as employers, executives, government officials, sporting teams and employee representatives.
He has taught communication, facilitation and negotiation in Australia, the UK and Asia for clients as diverse as Hamersley Iron to the Dockers AFL team. He also holds Education and Academic  Degrees.

Socialising For Singles:

Q.  I separated 18 months ago and have taken this time to ‘readjust’…However now that I am ready to go out and ‘meet the world’ I find I am very reluctant to do so… Even if I knew where to go, I am petrified once I get there that someone will speak to me and I won’t know how to respond, or what to say… If I go out with people from work, we stay together all night and while I still enjoy the evening, I would like to meet some ‘new’ people. If someone speaks to me I freeze up. If I do speak, I feel like I have said something incredibly stupid and can’t concentrate on what they are saying! I feel like a complete loser! My question is how can your course/s help me to overcome these issues…?

A.  Each of our courses addresses the issues surrounding this…  We will assist you to identify what prevents you being able to socialise freely and effectively, as we deal with communication, grooming, expectations, self-esteem, body language etc  to enable you to go out and not only join in a conversation, but initiate them as well! We will also guide you to identifying social activities that suit you.  We also address ‘techniques’ for managing group behaviours.

Q. Community & Social Groups
We run a social group but a lot of our members and visitors, really struggle to socialise within the group. We do our best to make them feel welcome, and make a point of introducing them to some of our very sociable and friendly members but they often do not return. When we contact them to ask why, they say that they found it too difficult, felt very uncomfortable, didn’t know what to say to people and would prefer to stay home. These people need help! They came to our club because they had recognised the need to get out, but when they do, they either stay with the person they came with, or only stay a short time and leave… I have been told that you have done some wonderful work with people in helping them overcome these ‘fears’… Could you please contact me and explain how your courses work and how we can incorporate your courses into our social program?

A. These people are afraid! They are afraid of rejection, of ‘looking silly’ of not being accepted… the list goes on! People often attend thinking there will be a magic answer, but the old adage comes into play… ‘wherever we go, we go too!’. There is no magic remedy and unfortunately, as much as we might try, we cannot ‘do it’ for them… They musts overcome their own fears, their own inadequacies and make their own way. I am happy to talk to you in regard to how we can help them by conducting the Key Skills course for them at your premises or externally. You might also like to peruse our ‘Public Course Timetable’ and bring a few people along to one or several of these courses.

Q.  I am new to town, and finding it difficult to meet people…  I grew up knowing everyone around me and this is the first time I have been on my own without my regular friends. How do I meet people?  I am not sure where to go, and if I go out I am not sure what to do when I get there. Help please.

A.  Much the same as above - the newly single person, or the person that finds themselves single after their group of friends has settled down, or moved away - the same applies… I agree that this is a difficult time, however once you have mastered some techniques, and reviewed preconceived ideas about yourself and your capabilities you will be pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable your social life will be!

Q.  Corporate Team Building:
I manage a large team of administrative staff.  There is often ‘in-fighting’, complaints and it seems, a fear of one another. They do not speak to each other unless it is necessary and when a promotion becomes available it’s all on! I have tried running morning teas etc and other team-building events, but nothing seems to work. How could your course/s help me?

A. Key Skills will assist you and your team to identify what prevents them being able to interact freely and effectively. Communication and trust are essential ingredients if a team is to work to its full potential and this course will assist them firstly in wanting to be a more cohesive team and then how to deal with communication, expectations, self-esteem and general behaviours that will enable them to better communicate with, and trust one another.   

        
Q. Customer Service
I am regularly receiving complaints from customers that my staff have been rude or ‘don’t seem to care’. I know also that people often don’t complain, they just don’t come back so to have so many complaints is a huge concern. I employ an  outstanding group of people each of whom is talented in their own area of expertise. I have interviewed each staff member individually, and then as a group in an attempt to see what the problem is but I cannot seem to change this. Of course it is affecting my business and takings are down. Customer Service can be tricky! You can have the best people in the world, talented, enthusiastic and committed but there only needs to be one little thing and it can totally change the dynamics of the environment, therefore changing the way your staff are perceived by your customers. A busy person who slams down the phone for example can be perceived as ‘disinterested’ and ‘in a hurry to get away’ even though they just spent fifteen minutes on the phone with them resolving an issue, that is what they remember - the slamming of the phone! Customer service is about not only the sensitivities of your customers, but that of your staff… Maybe there is an underlying issue between two or more of your staff that is causing friction, and no one is prepared to acknowledge or talk about it. This can cause an unpleasant undercurrent in the workplace that has a huge impact on the customer. Are you staff members happy and smiling…? If not, they should be! Q.  Corporate Networking
Some of my staff members are required to attend networking events, and various event where they are required to interact and build relationships. Many are very resistant to attending, and if they do, often do not speak to anyone unless they are spoken to first. It is imperative to our business that we have staff members at these events… Can you help my staff overcome this hatred, or fear, or networking?

A.  We will assist your team in identifying just what it is that prevents them from attending, or enjoying these networking events. Once they have identified the cause, we work with them to develop strategies that will enable them to attend, and be effective. Once they have overcome their initial anxieties, they will begin to enjoy these events and look forward to each and every opportunity!  We can construct a workshop specifically for your staff, and deliver at a time and place convenient to you.

Q.  Sales Teams
I manage what I believe to be a very talented group of Sales People. However I feel that some of them are not performing to their full potential. In addition, many of them tell me that they loathe ‘cold calling’. When I ask them why, they say they don’t know why, but simply cannot pick up the phone or walk in the door! Unfortunately cold calling comprises 30% of their contractual commitment and they must generate a percentage of business each quarter of ‘new’ business. I have tried to work with them, accompanied them on cold calls, and sat with them while they make phone calls to new clients, but as soon as I am not around, they don’t do it. A colleague told me about your courses and how successful you have been with other sales teams… I would be grateful if you could get back to me and outline how you could turn this around for my team?

A. Cold Calling is a whole new ball game and a very different scenario to calling on existing or pre-sold clients. The fear of rejection, of ‘looking silly’ or of not being accepted… the list goes on! Sales people after all, often still have the same inadequacies that we mere mortals do! If one of your sales people has had someone be rude (and people often are when they receive a ‘cold’ call. this will confirm that which they had predicted… it won’t work; they aren’t interested; I can’t do it and people are just too rude! Fact is that many of their existing clients probably started out as a cold call! If you don’t ask, you don’t get, and they know that more than anyone. Radiant Health and Wellbeing Programs

Q. What are the workshops that you offer?

A. We offer two programs – a three part workshop - the Radiant Health Seriesa Master Program for Radiant Health and Wellbeing, and Weight Management Without Dieting

Q. How would you define Radiant Health?

A.  To live in Radiant Health means that the following are true:

  • You are the correct weight for your height
  • You look and feel radiant. There is a healthy glow about you
  • You have balanced energy all of the time and sleep well every night
  • You have no chronic or acute health problems
  • You have no aches and pains
  • You take stress in your stride
  • You are active and vibrant throughout your life
  • You enjoy and take in your stride whatever life it brings
  • You are positive about the future and your part in it

Q.  Who can benefit from your Radiant Health programs?

A. Everybody!  If you do not have Radiant Health, no matter your sex, age, disposition, creed, etc then our Radiant Health Series courses will be of great benefit to you.

Q. How can your emotional health course help me solve my weight problem?

A. Recent research has explained how your emotions, especially the unconscious ones, have a direct bearing on your physical health. Your body directly reflects your emotions. This applies to all health problems including weight issues. Weight problems are caused equally by a. your eating and lifestyle patterns, and b. the emotional content of your mind.  Managing our weight requires a multidimensional approach.

Q. I have tried all kinds of diets without success. How can you help me lose weight?

A.  Your physical body is perfectly able to control its weight naturally. However, when you limit your food intake in any form, your body thinks it is starving. What would you do if you thought food supplies were going to run out? That’s right, you would hoard food. Your body does the same thing by hoarding every calorie it can, usually as fat.
What you have to do, as I explain in the Radiant Health course, is revive your body’s natural intelligence. You can do this by making better food and lifestyle choices so your body no longer thinks it is starving and it can self-regulate and your weight will adjust accordingly and quite quickly. There is no need to starve yourself, rather the reverse. Following principles of Radiant Health Weight Management you can eat as much of the beneficial foods as you want – just none of the foods that damage your body’s intelligence.

Q. Are your programs safe and sustainable?

A. The tools that you we use and recommend in all our Radiant Health courses comprise of intelligent, easy-to-make and simple changes to your diet, your lifestyle and your emotional being. They are neither radical nor dangerous in anyway. These changes then become a natural part of your everyday life. It is all about making better choices that support Radiant Health.

Q. Do you sell supplements and other products as part of your courses?

A. I have no affiliation or connection with any outside commercial company whatsoever. I am careful that any specific recommendations I make are generic in nature and are usually available from many different sources. I neither sell nor endorse any specific product or supplement. I prosper by you coming to our courses, thus improving your health, not by selling products.

Q.  Do your health recommendations fit into a normal busy life?

A.   All the recommendations we make are designed to fit into a normal life. I know full well that any changes that are too difficult, or that will upset you everyday life, will not be sustained. Instead we ask you to make simple, easy-to-make, yet profound changes in your life that will make a huge difference giving you Radiant Health without you becoming a fanatic.

Q. Do you have answers to help me deal with my anxiety?

A. There are two components to anxiety (or any emotional problem for that matter..

a. You need to have you brain working  in tip top condition which requires Radiant Physical Health– this alone actually works better than any prescription anti-depressant drugs.
b. The negative emotional content that contributes to your anxiety needs to be healed.
All of the issues are addressed in the Radiant Health course.

Q.  Do you have a stress reduction program?

A.  Same answer as for anxiety above.

Q.  Do you have sleep solutions?

A. Sleep is very important for Radiant Health. I have studied the sleep problem as I used to be a chronic insomniac and have read the latest scientific data. I will share this information in the Radiant Health course. It requires Radiant physical, mental and emotional health for a deep wonderful sleep every night.

Q. My Mother has Alzheimer’s Disease. Do you have solution for her and for me, the Carer.

A. This disease is becoming more and more common and is “hell” for both the sufferer and their A. Carers.  Alzheimer’s disease is a degenerative disease and can be prevented by living a Radiant Health lifestyle.
For those that already have this disease, there is a simple supplement that has been shown to actually stop and roll it back very effectively.

Q. I have been diagnosed with diabetes. Can it be reversed?

A. Changes to your diet that I will recommend in the Radiant Health course and in the Radiant Weight Management course can give you the metabolism of a healthy 20 year old and be free of diabetes. This can be done in very short period of time (a matter of weeks.. You will also be free from prescription drugs which are the third most common cause of death. The answer to your question is: “Yes, absolutely!”.

Q.  Cancer and heart diseases run in my family. What can I do to prevent it?

A. Achieving Radiant Health knocks all degenerative diseases, such as those you mention, on the head. It also prevents their occurrence. I will explain how to create a diet and lifestyle that will prevent all degenerative diseases leading to a life with Radiant Health and dignity, not suffering, when death does knock on the door.

Q. My son has had psychoses and been in and out of (mental. hospital. Is there anything other than medication for the treatment of mental illness?

A. The modern anti-psychotic drugs are described as a nightmare for the patient. They are about management not cure.
As I describe in my book Wellbeing Matters, our son also suffered from psychosis. My wife and I cured (yes I do mean cured. him with the help of specific supplements, available in any health food store, together with a Radiant Health diet. Rather than spending his life in care in a group home continually, on medication as his prognosis at the time foretold, he is now a fully functioning member of society without medication. I know that these recommendations would help your son too.

Q. I suffer from depression. How can you program help me?

A. The answer is a achieve Radiant Health as we show you in our courses. See the question on Anxiety above as the answer is the same.

Q. Your 3 workshops cover physical health, mental health and emotional health. a. Would I benefit from them all? b. Can I come to just one?

A. The courses are designed as a complete program as Radiant Health.  As I understand it, and from my experience, Radiant Health cannot be achieved without all the three areas of health being addressed.  Each workshop is complete in itself so attending a single one will not leave you up in the air, however if you want to achieve Radiant Health, you should attend all three.
The workshop on Weight Management focuses on the most important points for that topic drawing from the Radiant Health series. If you are interested in this topic I would strongly recommend attendance at this workshop.

Q. I have relationship problems. In what way can you help me?

A. The workshop entitled Healthy Mind, Healthy Body – Creating Balance in Your Life is designed to address these issues – we explain why relationships can be so difficult and how to address these difficulties. As the emotions are a product of the mind, which is dependent on the brain, you need to address both your physical and mental health to give you the support needed to weather and heal these difficult emotional issues.

Q.  I frequently have digestive problems. Can you help?

A.   Digestive problems are relatively easy to deal with. These types of problems are degenerative in nature and are usually caused by a combination of both poor physical and poor emotional health. The recommendations that I give in my workshops will normally clear up any digestive problems in a relatively short matter of time. As there is usually an emotional cause taking the Radiant Emotional Health workshop will help.

Q.  My child has been diagnosed with ADD. What can I do to help him?

A.  There are many contributing factors from childhood vaccinations to food additives that can cause ADD. The Radiant Health series addresses all of the potential problems. Supplementaion instead of medication, will make a dramatic impact on his/her health. My Emotional Health Workshop includes suggestions that will lead you to a better emotional relationship with him/her  and help him/her deal with the illness.

Q.  I have a small business where I am having problems due to staff being away sick an excessive amount. Can you help?

A.  An employee who is off sick can costs up to 10 times more than a worker who is very healthy. This is due not only to being absent but being much less efficient while on the job at work. By giving you staff the information and recommendations I share in the Radiant Health series you will be doing them, your healthy workers, and your business a huge favour.

Q. I have problems dealing with my staff. Is there anything that you would recommend?

A. This is probably a very complex issue. Nevertheless the recommendations and guidelines that I use in the Radiant Health series, specifically Healthy Mind, Healthy Body – Creating Balance in Your Life workshop will have a dramatic effect on the health and wellbeing of each member of your staff – creating harmony and much improved productivity all around.  Of course these changes will also improve their personal relationships.  We strongly recommend that (husbands, wives, partners. of staff members are provided with details and perhaps even the opportunity to attend as they can then support and encourage one another in the changes necessary to achieve Radiant Health.
